Check out my easy Spanish trufas de chocolate recipe and prepare your chocolate truffles with only four ingredients at home.

The Spanish cuisine offers a huge variety of sweet desserts. From milk rice to cheesecake to flan, there is something for every taste.

One of my favorite Spanish Desserts is chocolate truffles or trufas de chocolate like you say in Spanish.

What are Trufas de Chocolate

Trufas de chocolate or chocolate truffles is a chocolate-based confectionery coated in cocoa powder, chocolate sprinkles, coconut, or chopped nuts. Chocolate truffles usually have a spherical, conical, or curved shape.

How to prepare Trufas de chocolate?

Preparing Spanish Trufas de chocolate is easy and doesn’t require a lot of time and ingredients.

The first step is to melt the dark chocolate.

How to melt chocolate on the stove?

  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil and then reduce to medium heat.
  2. Place the chocolate in a metal bowl (if you don’t have a metal bowl at home, a smaller pot also does the job as you can see in our photo) and place the bowl with the chocolate on top of the hot water.
  3. Stir constantly until the chocolate is melted.

Once the chocolate is melted, add condensed milk to the bowl and mix everything well.

Now, you can add the rum or any other preferred liqueur and mix well.
